Sending photos, videos, files and voice notes

Alongside text, you can send several kinds of content in any one-to-one chat or community on InterChat:

  • Photos and videos
  • Documents and files
  • Voice notes โ€” press and hold the microphone to record, then release to send
  • Shared verses, quotes, sermons and reading plans as cards
  • Polls, for getting a quick answer from a group
  • Reactions and @mentions on other people's messages

Everything you send belongs to you โ€” see our Terms for exactly what permission you give InterChat to host and deliver it.

A couple of things worth knowing: InterChat processes message content (including photos and voice notes) to do things like show notification previews and respond to reports, so it isn't end-to-end encrypted โ€” see Is InterChat end-to-end encrypted? And anyone who receives something you send can screenshot, forward or save it, so share wisely.
