Reporting and what happens next

You can report almost anything on InterChat straight from where you see it:

  • A message: long-press it → Report.
  • A person: open their profile → ⋯ → Report (you can also Block them).
  • A community: Community info → Report community.
  • A story: ⋯ → Report story.
  • A prayer request or comment: ⋮ → Report.

Reports are confidential — we never tell the person who reported them. Content can be hidden automatically once it receives enough reports, until a moderator reviews it.

What we might do, depending on how serious it is and whether it's happened before: remove the content, send a warning, limit features for a time, suspend the account, permanently ban it, or report it to law enforcement where the law requires it or someone is at risk.

If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal within 30 days by emailing safety@interchathq.com with your username and what happened.

For urgent safety concerns, email safety@interchathq.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — InterChat can't call emergency services.
