Setting up your profile

Your profile is how other believers on InterChat get to know you. You can set up and change these any time from your profile screen:

  • Username — must be unique, and shouldn't be offensive or misleading, or impersonate someone else (including a pastor, church or ministry).
  • Profile photo
  • Bio
  • Gender (or "prefer not to say")
  • Interests
  • Up to 5 profile links
  • Preferred Bible translation and prayer style

Everything except your username and name is optional, and you control who sees it: your profile photo, bio, last-seen status and stories can each be limited to the people you choose in your privacy settings. Your username and name are always visible, so people can find and recognise you.

Take your time with this — a complete profile makes it easier for people you know to find you, and helps communities feel like they're made up of real people rather than usernames.

Next, see Finding people you know to start connecting.
